Feeding / Usage

Determining the correct size for meals depends on the type of dog food, how many times a day your dog eats, size, metabolic rate, the amount of exercise and more. Each dog is different and has different needs. Use the chart below as a starting point for daily food allowance and adjust to suit your pooch's lifestyle and activity level.

Feeding Guide for Dogs

Use a standard 8 oz. measuring cup and divide the amount per day into the desired feedings per day. For example: 8 oz. x 2 meals per day = 2 meals @ 4 oz. each.

Feed app. 1/3 cup for every 10 lbs. over 100 lbs. Puppies may require 2 - 3 times the adult feeding guide. For pregnant or nursing dogs free-choice feeding is recommended. Always provide plenty of water.
